Remediation
Gypsum is used for remediation across many different industries and applications. It is frequently used for soil remediation at oil and gas drilling sites. Another common remediation application is water clarification for muddy or cloudy water in lakes or ponds. Gypsum is water soluble, and it attracts clay particles suspended in water. As the clay particles collect, they gain mass and eventually sink and settle at the bottom of the body of water.
